Running Your Season

Once your pool is set up and players have joined, here's what to expect week to week through the season.

Each Week, In Order

1. The week opens. Once a new NFL week begins, players can start submitting picks for that week's games.
2. Pick'em only — set your points and spreads first. Before players pick, visit your pool's Points & Spreads page to confirm point values for each game and, if your pool uses spread scoring, enter and lock each game's spread. Survivor pools skip this step entirely — there's nothing to configure per game.
3. Players submit picks. A pick can be changed any time before that specific game kicks off. Once a game starts, that pick is locked — even if other games that week haven't started yet.
4. Games are played, scores come in.
5. Results are processed. Once game results are available, the system applies them automatically. Survivor: winning picks survive, losing picks are eliminated, and any no-pick or bye rules you've configured are applied. Pick'em: each pick is scored against its point value (and spread, if used) — there's no elimination, so every entry carries forward to the next week regardless of how the week went.
6. Standings update. Survivor players can check who's alive, who's eliminated, and why; Pick'em players can check season points and their win/loss record — at any time.

Entering or Reviewing Scores

Your commissioner dashboard includes a results screen where you can review and confirm the status of each game for the current week.

Once all of a week's games are marked complete, result processing runs automatically — for Survivor pools this means eliminating losing picks; for Pick'em pools it means scoring every pick and updating season points — either way, standings update without any extra step from you.

Reviewing Weekly Results

Survivor: after each week processes, your Commissioner Picks view (accessible per-week from your dashboard) shows you, at a glance:

• Total entries
• Entries still alive
• Entries that didn't submit a pick that week
• Entries eliminated that week

This is a good place to check in after each week's results process, especially early in the season when players are still getting used to your no-pick rules.

Pick'em: the equivalent view shows each entry's per-game picks, results, and points earned for the week. Unpicked games are still handled automatically by your pool's no-pick rule (zero points, a random team, the away team, etc. — see the Pick'em Pool Settings guide), but this is still a good place to check who's engaging each week.

Standings

Survivor: your pool's Standings page always shows the current state of play — who's alive, who's eliminated, what week they went out in, and why (lost pick, no pick, etc., translated into plain language). Pick'em: standings instead show season points and win/loss record for every entry, with Season and per-week tabs — nobody drops off as the season goes on. If you're using Leagues & Divisions, standings show tabs for Overall, plus each league and division, for either game type.

Players can view this themselves any time — you don't need to share updates manually, though many commissioners like to anyway as part of keeping their group engaged.

When Your Pool Reaches a Winner

A Season-Long Checklist

• Confirm your pool's settings are correct before Week 1 opens — Survivor: no-pick rule, byes, double picks, etc.; Pick'em: point values and spread mode — these are hard to change fairly mid-season once players are relying on them
• Share your join link or embed widget with your players before picks open (Survivor pools only, for embed — see the Embedding guide)
• Pick'em only: set and lock each week's spreads before picks open, if your pool uses spread scoring
• Check in on your dashboard each week, especially around game time
• Review your Commissioner Picks view after results process each week
• Keep an eye on your dashboard for the "Results need your review" alert once your pool nears a winner (Survivor) or Week 18 completes (Pick'em)
